    Question: can hiv infected mother pass the disease to her child through breast feeding?

      Koko Mutai answered on 25 May 2018:


      Yes an HIV positive mother can pass HIV to their child, as breast milk contains the viruses. All HIV positive mothers are usually advised to not breastfeed. Some are even given tablets to dry up the milk
