      While most Irish people are pale, true blonde hair is not that common. Most have hair shades between mid brown through varying shades of red and dark blonde. Swarthy almost like pale mediterreanean/arabic people are also visible among the native population although not as common as the above types meaning there is at least some relatively recent southern based influence to the gene pool.
